There are five planets in the solar system that are visible from the night sky. Those planets are Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, Mars, and Saturn. Of those five, Venus resides closest to the Earth.

You could see Venus if you look South West right after the sun sets. At 8:30 you will be able to see Jupiter if you look to to South, it will be right over your head. It's the brightest
