Problems with the Chevrolet Astro Transmission?

Answer

The most common problem with a Chevrolet Astro van transmission lies with the valve body. The fluid pressure switch may also fail. The 1995 to 1999 and the 2000 to 2003 series are most likely to have transmission issues. To repair a transmission a certified mechanic needs to be seen. A new transmission can cost as much as 2500 dollars, as of 2013. A used transmission will be a lot cheaper, but will not come with a warranty.
