Pros and Cons of Aristocracy?

Answer

The pros of aristocracy include that the person ruling the country could be the best, not just the next son in line. This means the ruler would try to do what is best for the country rather than do nothing but feel secure that his rule will be passed to a family member anyway. The cons are that 'best' is a subjective term and without the people choosing the leader, they might not think that leader is really the best. Also, rulers tend to be from the higher social class, which doesn't leave a fair chance for lower-class citizens to become rulers.
