There are several pros and cons that have been found or stated to be gained by studying in a single-sex education school. Some believe that this promotes studying as the students are not distracted by the opposite gender. They also believe that this helps students to avoid intimidation and to learn better. This is also believed to promote self-esteem. Studying in single-sex education schools can give students a disadvantage however because they do not learn to interact with the opposite sex which does not prepare them for the real world.
