Rabid raccoons can be easy to spot because of their overly aggressive behavior or odd and off balance walking. Another signs that a raccoon could be rabid is it has old and worn looking fur. By the time a raccoon is foaming at the mouth it is highly infected. Because raccoons are so likely to carry rabies it is always advised that humans avoid them in case they are rabid and not showing signs. In general raccoons are not friendly anyway.
