Rosa Parks had many accomplishments in her life. Her most notable achievement was when she refused to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus to a white passenger. This helped to put an end to public segregation. She also received many awards during her life. This included the NAACP's highest award, the Spingarn Medal. She also won the Martin Luther King Jr. Award. In 1996, President Clinton honored her with the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
