What is a sample solicitation letter?

Answer

A solicitation letter asks for money from donors. Samples may be sent from universities, charities, clubs, or sports. In the letter, the solicitor will describe the program including what the mission or goals are and what has been accomplished as a result of this program. The solicitor will then explain why the program is important and what would be lost if the program did not exist. The letter will ask for help from the potential donor and explain why this help is needed (not enough funds this past year or a need to expand, for example). The donor will be thanked in advance and information for where the donation can be sent will be provided.
