Sea of Monsters is the second book in the series Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It was written by Rick Riordan and published in 2006. The book is about a boy who must sail into a sea of monsters to find a magical item. The item is supposed to stop a monster invasion on a friendâ€â&dbquo;¢s poisoned tree. During the journey he finds out a bad family secret and has to rescue an old friend.
