As a person approaches the very end of life there are two types of changes that will occur, they are the physical changes and there are changes on the emotional and spiritual level as well. Some of the signs of dying are sleepiness and loss of consciousness, confusion and delirium, reduced intake of food and fluid, and loss of ability to swallow. It is also stated that as the muscles weaken, the person who is dying may no longer be able to control bowel and bladder functions.
