What is a summary on the Mayflower Compact?

Answer

The Mayflower Compact was written to govern the original settlers of the Plymouth Colony when they landed on the shores of Massachusetts and left their ship, The Mayflower. Commonly referred to as the pilgrims, the Mayflower Contract helped this community of separatists to establish themselves away from the rule of King James in Great Britain. It was signed aboard the Mayflower in 1620. The original document was lost over time, but there are three current versions that are accepted to be valid.
