The Love Letter was written by Jack Finney. It became a television movie in 1998. Finneys' original short story was published in 1959 in The Saturday Evening Post. Jack Finney was born on October 2 in 1911. The American author died on November 14 in 1995. He may be best known for The Body Snatchers and Time and Again. Finney was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He was renamed at his father's death when Jack was at the age of three, to Walter Braden Finney. He was called Jack throughout his life, however.
