Trial of Norma Bell?

Answer

The trial and conviction of Norma Bell took place in Britain in 1968. Norma Bell was convicted of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility at the age of 11. She had a jury trial which challenged charges that she had killed two boys, ages three and four. Both murders took place in the same year as the trial and conviction. Four-year-old Martin Brown was killed by Bell on May 25, 1968, and three- year-old Brian Howe was killed on July 31, 1968. After serving 12 years in a young offenders institution and an adult prison, Bell was released. She and her family have lifetime protection of anonymity.
