There are sixteen distinct personality types, and every human being has a primary mode of operation within four categories. I.E., flow of energy, how we take in information, how we make decisions, and the day to day lifestyle that we prefer, and within each of these categories, we chose to be, extroverted, or introverted, sensing, or intuitive, thinking or feeling and judging or perceiving.
