A human settlement can refer to any gathering of human dwelling where they attempt commerce. Some types of human settlement include hamleted villages, urban agglomeration, urban outgrowth, and semi clustered settlements. Hamleted villages form when large settlements gather for social or ethnic reasons. Urban agglomeration is a human settlement type with adjoining expanded settlements. Urban outgrowth are settlements such as military bases and university campuses. Semi clustered settlements are areas where wealthier people live in the center of town and the ones who are not as wealthy live on the outskirt of town.
