Types of Water Bugs?

Answer

Water bugs are aquatic insects. Most are carnivorous and will eat small insects and fish. Some types of water bugs are boatmen, water scorpions, and backswimmers. Sometimes people refer to palmetto bugs as water bugs. This, in fact, is not accurate as the palmetto bug is a type of American cockroach. Certain types of water bugs can deliver painful bites to humans. For example, the giant water bug can be over four inches long and will introduce an enzyme that breaks up proteins when it bites.
