What animal has three eyes?

Answer

The tautara is a reptile found in New Zealand. These reptiles have a third eye on the top of their heads, which is referred to as the parietal eye. This third eye is only visible for the first four to six months after the tautara is born. It then becomes covered with opaque scales and pigment.
