Brownies are referred to by different names in different societies. Some of the names by which they are known are Minor Guides, Little Wings, and Bluebirds as well as Ananse Guides or girl guides. Brownies refers to an organisation of young girls, from seven to ten years that are part of the organisation started by Lord Baden-Powell in 1914.
