What Are Different Types of Leukocytes?

Answer

The different types of leukocytes include granular and non-granular leukocytes. Granular leukocytes, or granulocytes, contain abundant granules in the cytoplasm while non-granular leukocytes do not have granules in the cytoplasm, e.g. lymphocytes. Also known as white blood cells, or WBCs, leukocytes basically function as 'soldiers' in the human body counteracting any foreign threats and/or diseases.
