What Are the Main Parts of the Heart and What Are Their Purpose?


The heart is a hollow muscular organ which pumps blood throughout the body. There are actually four major parts of the heart which are called chambers. These are the left and right ventricles and left and right atrium. The atria are receiving chambers of the heart and the auria are the pumping chambers of the heart.
