The Banana Splits were four comedic animal characters, consisting of Fleegle a dog, Bingo a gorilla, Drooper a lion, and Snorky an elephant, who featured in a late 1960s children's variety show made for television. The series, which ran for 31 episodes on NBC Saturday mornings, was produced by Hanna-Barbera Productions, from September 7, 1968 to September 5, 1970. The voices were done by Paul Winchell, Daws Butler, Allan Melvin and Don Messick.
