I would hope the genius people at Living Social or Groupon would provide advice & examples on how to keep the clientele that clamor for these daily deals.
I have small business clients that have lost money, not gained, because they didn't have an action plan to deal with the influx of people, nor one to retain the new guests.
I recommend that smaller businesses use a company like Trubates that only takes 18% of the daily deal, and runs it for as long or short as you would like to. It's a good place to start with Daily Deals. If you like the results, you can then dive into a larger and more cost laden deal through one of the giants of the industry.
