What can I Use Instead of a Corkscrew?

Answer

If you don't have a corkscrew, you can use a screw and a screw driver to get out the cork. Start the screw in the cork, apply more pressure with the screwdriver. You need to get the screw about 3/4 of the way through the cork. Use a hammer to pull the cork out by the screw. Use one long, slow pull to get the cork out.
