What Causes Dew?

Answer

Dew refers to liquid moisture on the ground that is seen in the morning. It is caused by moisture in the atmosphere which condenses on cool surfaces at night. In other words, dew forms when the air reaches a certain temperature, called the dew point. When the air reaches the dew point, the moisture in the air condenses and falls landing on all uncovered surfaces.

Sometimes dew is mistaken for rain in the morning. The cause of dew is the air temperature cools down at night, and the water is actually dew that formed overnight.
