What countries fought in World War II?


The countries which were major participants in World War II included Germany, Poland, Austria-Hungary, Russia, the US and Italy among others. The war was centered on two fronts; the Axis powers, who were major forces in the war,like Germany, and the Allied powers, which were the supporters of Axial powers, like Italy. World War II resulted in many deaths and is widely remembered for starting the mass murder of the Jews,the Holocaust.
