The clothes of the Renaissance period mainly emphasized on sophistication. WomenÂ?s clothing was adorned with a lot of embroidery such as jewellery. For the men, their clothes consisted of shirts, pants, cloaks and hats. Garments worn on the upper part of the body were short. The general emphasis was on tight fitting clothing. For the women, their clothing mainly consisted of one garment with an underskirt, skirt, bodice, hoop and collar. Older women would wear caps too.
