A Pilgrim Thanksgiving feast was quite different from those we have today. The meat would have been venison or seal, or fowl such as swan, goose, or wild turkey. Cod, eel, and clams may also have been served, along with vegetables such as peas, beans and carrots. Pumpkin would have been included in the vegetables, but the Pilgrims did not make pumpkin pie.
