What do baby hermit crabs look like?


Female hermit crabs lay their eggs in the ocean. They bust open as soon as contact is made with the water. The baby hermit crabs are called zoeae. They will go through around 60 days of metamorphosis until they finally look like a cross between a hermit crab and lobster.
