Canada Geese are mainly herbivores feeding on wide variety of plants and aquatic vegetation. In winter, they eat waste grains left in ploughed fields which make up the majority of their diet. During the spring and summer, they consume more green vegetation. They also eat insects, molluscs, crustaceans and sometimes small fish.
