What Do Groundhogs Eat?


Groundhogs' main diet includes grasses, clover, garden vegetables, leaves and twigs. Apples, beans, peas, herbs, strawberries, pansies, berries, and dandelion also make the list of its favourite foods. The animal has a feast-or-famine lifestyle whereby it eats all summer as it builds reserves and burrows in winter.
