What Do Opium Poppies Look like?


There are many varieties of opium poppies. Poppies come in a range of colors and unusual shapes. Persian White has the largest bulb. The lavender semi-double with its feathered petals provides a pleasant variation from the normal single-petaled Papaver somniferum varieties, as does the the bright red Single Scarlet Fringed with its heavily fringed edges.

Opium poppies are really pretty flowers that are lilac and purple colored. It is mostly grown in North America, South America, and Asia.
