What does a checks-and-balance process look like in a successful health care organization?
There are many areas and departments within a health care system. Each department should have their own list of checks and balances. For example, the accounts payable and receivable departments should have software that enables them to be reminded of past due monies that are both coming in and going out. The medical records clerk on each ward should have a supervisor that checks the charts daily to see that all the orders have been signed off on by doctors. Even doctors should have a system in place to be sure they have seen and attended to a;ll of the patients they needed to in a given day. Sometimes doctors are working out of more than pone hospital and have office hours as well. I don't know how they do it.
