What Does a Hemlock Tree Look like?


A hemlock tree is an evergreen tree. The Eastern hemlock has a conical shape and thick green needles. The Western hemlock tree tends to be taller with a good portion of trunk left bare before the foliage starts. Hemlock trees produce pinecones, and new growth appears at the ends of the branches in a lighter green color during the spring.
