What Does a Peregrine Falcon Look like?


The peregrine falcon can grow from 13 to 23 inches long and may have a wingspan from 29 to 47 inches. Females are up to 30% larger than their male counterparts and have pointed wings that are blue, black, or gray in color with black tips. Their bellies are white or gray with thin bands of dark brown or black. Peregrine falcons have a black tail with a white band at the tip.
