What Does a Volcano Look like?

A volcano looks similar to a mountain except a volcano has an open hole at the top instead of a closed peak like a mountain. The open hole of a volcano is caused from an explosion. This explosion occurred during an eruption due to the volcanic activity that created it.

A volcano is a place on the Earth's surface that is characterised by eruptions of molten rock, gases and pyroclastic debris through the earth's covering. Volcanoes differ quite a bit in their formation, some are cracks in the earth's crust, and others are shields, domes, or mountain-like formations with a crater at the peak.
Typically, we think of volcanoes looking like mountains. While some volcanoes do look like mountains there are other types. A lot of volcanoes look like like lakes because the ground around them has dropped down.
