What Does an Infected Tattoo Look like?

A clear sign of an infected tattoo is oozing of yellowish and greenish pus and bleeding. An infected tattoo usually becomes red and produces a foul smell. If these signs continue for a long period of time they can result in muscle pain, fever and weakness.

An infected tattoo will look red and swollen, more than it did when you first got the tattoo. It will also grow more painful and may ooze. You can use an antibacterial gel like Neosporin if suspect and infection. If that does not work see a doctor.
