What Does Concave Mean?

When we say that something is concave, we refer to the property of the item of having curved inwards. The term also refers to an element of a curved grid used to separate desirable material from tailings or chaff in mining and harvesting. Some of the concave things visible to us are like the vault of the sky and  the geocentric model of the world.
