How Heavy Is Decidual Bleeding?

Answer

Decidual bleeding occurs in the early stages of pregnancy. It occurs when a portion of the uterine lining is shed after the fertilized egg implants, but happens in a portion of the lining where the developing embryo is not residing. Most doctors just refer to this as first trimester bleeding. It can look like a regular menstrual period and can fool women into thinking they are not pregnant.
