What Does Invictus Mean?


Invictus is a short Victorian poem by an English poet known as William Ernest Henley. Henley wrote the poem while on his hospital bed after having part of his leg amputated after falling victim to tuberculosis of the bone. He kept leading an active life till he passed away at 53 years of age.
