What Does Mean in Math?

The mean in math is the average number for a set of data/numbers. You find the mean by adding up all of the numbers, and then dividing how many numbers are in that set by the answer.
To find mean in math, you add up all of the numbers that you are given and then divide that sum by how many numbers there are. For instance, add 3+6+5+7+4. The sum is 25. If you divide 25 by 5 (how many numbers you added), the answer is 5. The mean of these numbers is 5. You can find more information here: http://mathforum.org/library/drmath/view/58326.html
