What Does the Nasal Cavity Do?

Answer

The nasal cavity serves the main purpose of cleaning the air we breathe just before it reaches the lungs. It does this with the help of mucus which lines the nasal cavity. Dust, bacteria and foreign objects are trapped in the mucus and hair like cilia in the cavity push the mucus to the back of the throat where it is swallowed and broken down in the stomach.
