What Is a Draft Curtain?

Answer

Draft curtains are a fire control method developed for automatic smoke removal in buildings. In buildings that have sprinklers, the draft curtains act by letting the ceiling jet to travel away from the fire thus allowing more sprinklers to open hence they are only used in non-sprinkler protected buildings. They work by delaying sprinkler activation thus preventing the growth of fire.
