A plasma TV is a high definition flat screen TV whose screen actually contains gases which glow when electrically charged (plasma), such as neon and xenon. There are literally thousands of tiny tubes containing such gasses in the screen (three per pixel) and each pixel is sandwiched by two electric plates to charge them up.
