What Is a Series Circuit?

A series circuit is connection where each and every component is connected serially or in tandem. The current at every point of such a circuit is always the same. However, the voltage drops may vary.
In a series circuit, resistors are arranged in a chain. Parallel circuits, in contrast, are arranged with their heads connected together and their tails connected together.
The arrangement of resistors in a series circuit causes the current to only move down a single path. The current in a parallel circuit splits, with some current flowing along each parallel branch and recombining when the branches meet again.
A series circuit is a type of electronic circuit which consists of components connected one after the other from one pole of the voltage source to the other with no forks in the path.
