Christy Turlington is best known for her work as a Maybelline cover model in the 1990s. She has over 300 magazine cover credits to her name and has also modeled for Calvin Klein and Georgio Armani.
Turlington first appeared on the cover of Vogue magazine in 1985, and she was declared the "Face of the 20th Century" by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1992. In 1988, when Christy was still a teenager, she was chosen by Calvin Klein to represent Eternity, his company's new signature fragrance. She is also an entrepreneur and activist, co-founding Every Mother Counts, a non-profit organization that promotes education as a means to stop incidences of maternal mortality.
