Modroc is a term used to refer to a gauze bandage impregnated with Plaster of Paris. Its basic structures can be built using wire mesh, polystyrene or cardboard and covered with modroc. Acrylics are the best paints to use on modroc.

The plaster on the inside layer of bandages would take longer to cure and be diluted as the heat from the plaster setting melted some of the ice and washed some of the plaster powder
