Relativity may be used to refer to a theory by Albert Einstein; which indicates that there is no way of detecting absolute motion. It encompasses two theories; special relativity and general relativity. It may also be used to refer absolute and universal application without standards.

Einstein argued that distance and speed were fixed, so time had to be relative.
