There are a lot of similarities between the paintings of Arnolfini and Madonna of Chancellor Rolin. Both paintings were made in the 1400's and reflect that quality and time period. The basic shapes of the humans in the portraits and colors are similar. One difference would be the setting used in each painting. One depicts a man and woman standing in what appears to be their home. The other shows the virgin Mary bringing her baby Jesus to the chancellor to be blessed so it uses a more religious setting instead of a secular one and one common to that time period.
