What Is the Difference between a Cyst and a Boil?


The difference between a cyst and a boil is that a boil is a localized bacterial infection, whereas a cyst is fluid-filled mass not caused by any infection. Cyst are caused by fluids secreted by glands in the body and are not produced in the normal way thus building up, whereas boil is caused by Staphylococci (Bacteria) which produces pus. Both the infections are treatable.
