What is the difference between cubic zirconia and diamonds?

There are various differences between diamonds and cubic Zircona. For example, to the untrained eye, Cubic Zirconia (CZ) looks identical to a good quality diamond. CZs are heavyweights in comparison to diamonds; a CZ will weigh roughly 1.75 times more than a diamond of equivalent size.
