The difference between bruschetta and crostini is that brushcetta, refers to the bread, not the toppings while Crostini, refers to smaller slices of bread that are always toasted then piled with various toppings. Bruschetta comes from the Italian word 'bruscare,' which means 'to roast over coals. The toppings on crostini could be vegetables, savory spreads and cheeses.
